CinemAfrica: African Diaspora Stories

CinemAfrica film festival showcases some of the most exciting short films from the African continent and the African diaspora in this programme. Through stories that challenge, move and inspire, it offers audiences new perspectives and encounters with both established and emerging filmmakers. With a focus on artistic excellence and diversity, it creates a space where different voices, cultures and experiences can be represented and contribute to a richer cinematic experience.

If your hair could speak, what would it say? This is the central theme running through the film’s three stories, which explore the agency of hair and the intentions behind the curls. Hair emerges as a driving force for livelihood, identity, and care through generations.
