conjuring a sense of gravity in the face of ecological anguish and
digital angst.

In an uncertain and fluctuating world, only the feeling of the body
touching something, which exists only in this present reality, can
be recognized as “now”. That moment is lovely.

Their roles become reversed during the expedition and the road
movie becomes a metaphor for the life of a mother and her child.

In a shaky, restless voice, a young woman talks on the phone about feelings of panic and fear. As we listen to her, we see a black screen. During the brief pauses, when only rapid breathing can be heard, black and white moving images flash across the screen – scattered elements taken from an Egyptian film about the femicides that are often described as “honour killings”.
