BEWARE

BEWARE takes sound bites from the 1961 anti-homosexual propaganda film Boys Beware and flips it on its head. The hacked-up narration serves as the voice over to a barrage of glitched intimacies making the homosexual monster more fun than frightening.

Canada 2023 / 2:30 / Director: Wrik Mead

LOVEBOARD

A broken phone and the digital memory of a broken relationship. Both are fragile, both recomposed to reveal the fragments of a first love that seems to fade away. Through the careful manipulation of discarnate metal components and the director’s warm perspective on an intimate archive, a parallel movement of lingering and resistance against the ephemeral, the film is a playful reflection on what remains.

Switzerland, Belgium 2023 / 18:00 / Director: Felipe Casanova

IF

An arranged marriage tears a lesbian couple apart, but with a mother’s love, perhaps another future is possible.

India 2024 / 25:41 / Director: Tathagata Ghosh

DE GALLO QUI OVAVIT

De Gallo Qui Ovavit is a short documentary that explores the mythical history of egg laying roosters and invites us into an ironic play of searching and debunking boundaries between genders, species and ages. An egg laying rooster has been seen as unsettling and defined as monsters, satanic or freaks of nature. But which came first: the monster or the human?

Finland 2024 / 15:05 / Director: Nina Forsman

WATER HAZARD

A pre-adolescent kid spends a family summer holiday at a golf village. A newly built lake on a golf course becomes the backdrop to a mysterious encounter. And the discovery of an unknown other becomes the discovery of the unknown self.

Portugal, France 2024 / 23:08 / Director: Alexander David

GIGI

From the tormented little mermaid to the fulfilled woman she is today, Gigi tells us about her gender transition with humour and sensitivity.
