As a result of a stroke, Katinka suffers from memory loss. Her granddaughter Julia gathers memories from their time together. They eat goulash and watch TV. Julia writes a text about the family’s Jewish identity, and one day Katinka reads it. She holds it dear. Julia’s texts seem to reduce the distance that memory loss has created between them.
