Masterclass: Malin Ingrid Johansson
Director and screenwriter Malin Ingrid Johansson tells us about the creative process of the award-winning short film Madden, winning both Best Swedish Short Film at Uppsala Short Film Festival 2023 and the Dragon Award Best Swedish Short at Gothenburg Film Festival in the same year. Malin talks about the creation of the film and the lessons learned since the international premier at Berlinale 2023.
For both filmmakers and film lovers who are curious to hear about the artistic process and how best to film high heels in cow dung, Malin shares her experiences of the creative process, how she works to find the relatable in the personal, how to reach a wider audience and what she brings to her creative work going forward with making more films – both in long and short formats.
