TIME TO CHANGE

The destruction of the ecosystem already existed with the exploitation of the land, big game hunting and the exploitation of man by man. Colonialism, capitalism, and their impact on global biodiversity form the basis of this film.

Angola, Portugal 2024 / 6:06 / Director/Producer: Pocas Pascoal

UNDR

Helicopter footage examines the desert, surveying ancient natural formations and human interventions. Dynamite changes the face of the land. Farmers work their fields. Children play hide-and-seek. Employing archival footage, an eerie narrative is constructed, reminding us of Palestine’s exposure to aerial surveillance.

Palestine, Germany 2024 / 15:00 / Director: Kamal Aljafari / Producer: Flavia Mazzarino, Kamal Aljafari

PACIFIC VEIN

We move through a painterly US-panorama. Assange stands between fake columns, hippies and energy drinks and ponders the digitalisation of our world. Media scenes merge hypnotically with documentary footage. The empire is diligent (self-optimisation) and nervous (weapons), and the American Dream glitches into ghostly autosuggestion. Where is the enemy and who has the
image rights?

Germany, United States 2024 / 11:58 / Director/Producer: Ulu Braun

ON THE WAY

Father and son are on their way to the airport to pick up a gift sent from abroad by the son’s godfather. Amid bureaucratic hurdles, with little or no hope for real political and social changes in the country, they find comfort and strength in their shared optimism for the future.

Kosovo 2024 / 15:06 / Director: Samir Karahoda / Producer: Eroll Bilibani, Samir Karahoda

THE EXPLODING GIRL

For the past three months, Candice has been exploding every day. Sometimes even two or three times a day. Her record is seven times. She currently has 192 explosions.

France 2024 / 19:02 / Director: Caroline Poggi, Jonathan Vinel / Producer: Oriane Hurard

A MOVE

Elahe returns to her hometown Mashhad, in Iran, to help her parents move out of their house after 40 years. Influenced by the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, she’s also hoping for a bigger move beyond just a new flat.

Iran, United Kingdom 2024 / 26:37 / Director: Elahe Esmaili / Producer: Hossein Behboudi Rad
