Lera has been living in Berlin for almost a year, since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. One day she decides to go back to Kyiv. On her way, she finds out that her family is not in Kyiv and will arrive only the next day. She meets her friend Kyrylo, with whom she spends the day.

This work is an experimental documentary animation inspired by the traditional Japanese technique of Aburidashi, invisible ink. It consists of three parts: Beginning, Middle, and End, and depicts how the director’s perspective changes from an individual to a nation over a period of 10 years.

The afterlife of all sorts of plastic objects that, when withdrawn from the consumption process, often travel long distances before finally ending up in the sea. The remains of rubbish washed up on the coast of Tanzania, mostly high-quality and still intact plastic, is taken back to their fictitious places of origin.
